Important Update for Travelers to Zanzibar
Effective October 1, 2024, all foreign travelers entering Zanzibar will be required to have valid travel insurance for the duration of their stay. This insurance must be obtained exclusively through the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC).
How to Obtain Your InsuranceBefore your trip, you will receive a QR code that allows you to easily purchase your travel insurance from ZIC. This streamlined process ensures that you are covered as soon as you arrive in Zanzibar.
