Tanzania to Host 2nd UN Tourism Gastronomy Forum for Africa

Tanzania is set to host the 2nd UN Tourism Regional Forum on Gastronomy Tourism for Africa from April 23 to 25, 2025, in Arusha. The event will convene over 300 industry leaders, including chefs, policymakers, and tourism experts, to explore how culinary tourism can drive economic growth, cultural preservation, and community empowerment across the continent.

The forum, a collaboration between Tanzania's Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, the UN Tourism Organisation, and the Basque Culinary Centre, highlights Tanzania’s commitment to integrating its rich food heritage into its tourism industry.
